What is your Cancellation Policy?Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy *Effective from 26/11/24* • A £50 deposit is required for all bookings and is non-refundable. • Rescheduling at any time will incur a £25 fee. • At least 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. • Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours or not showing up will result in being charged the full treatment price. • If you are 15 minutes late or more, your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and a new deposit will be required to book a new appointment. I have extensions?We regret to inform you that we do not accommodate clients with extensions. During our Headspa treatments, extensions can become tangled and matted, and they also hinder our ability to fully access the scalp. Regardless of the type of extensions, we advise clients to have them removed and undergo a refit or new installation after the Headspa treatment. If a client arrives with extensions, unfortunately, they will forfeit their deposit as we cannot accept responsibility and will need to turn them away during the consultation. To avoid any inconvenience, please ensure your hair is detangled and free from extensions before your appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

Will I leave with wet hair?ABSOLUTELY NOT! We don't allow clients to leave with soaking wet hair. At the end of the treatment, we'll use a hairdryer to 'blast' your hair. However, please note that we are not professional hairdressers, so this won't involve styling like a 'curly blow' or 'blowout'. Please be aware that **NO STYLING IS INCLUDED** as part of our treatments.

I have coloured hair?Fantastic! Please inform us during the consultation if you've recently colored your hair, as we avoid using clarifying shampoo and instead utilize specific products to enhance and maintain your vibrant color. However, if your hair color runs easily or is exceptionally bright, we regret to inform you that we may not be able to accommodate you, as this could potentially damage our equipment. Thank you for your understanding.

Should I wash my hair prior to coming?Hair should be detangled and free from knots however clean hair is not necessary as we will deep clean and cleanse your scalp and hair anyway during the headspa treatment - along with a full "detox"

Do you cater to all hair types?We welcome clients with all hair types, but please ensure your hair is detangled before your appointment. If you have a scalp condition, please note that it won't be specifically addressed unless you book our New Moon package, which is designed for scalp conditions. While most hair types are suitable, please be aware that locs and braids may become loose or frizzy due to the scalp massage. Whether you're bald or have curly hair, rest assured you'll feel relaxed during your treatment. If you have any concerns about how your hair will be handled during the treatment, please feel free to contact us before booking your appointment so we can provide clarification.

What products do you use during the headspa treatment?A full scalp analysis and consultation will be included at the beginning of your headspa treatment. We will recommend products specific to your hair type. Please let us know if you prefer certain ingredients and advise us of any allergies. What is a Headspa?The Japanese head spa broadly comes under the wellness-oriented category and is based on Ayurvedic Head Massage, a 3,000-year-old comprehensive treatment that dates back to India's Vedic history. Ayurvedic medicine is a branch of Ayurveda (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge) medicine; which is one of the world's oldest holistic treatments for the entire body. You will first have a scalp consultation with our hair analysis machine to detect your current scalp condition. We will then start the process of cleaning your scalp - using a variety of techniques with a blend of customised products and hair tools enables us to deep cleanse your scalp, follicles and hair alongside an Indian head massage throughout. Your hair and scalp will be shampoo'd, clarified, scrubbed, detoxed, steamed and conditioned. Finished with a basic blow-dry.

I am plus size - can I have a treatment?Of course! We welcome clients of all shapes and sizes. Our goal is to make everyone feel special, relaxed, and comfortable. It's worth noting that our facilities include amenities suitable for individuals of up to 300 pounds.

What is your availability?To schedule an appointment, please visit our 'book online' page. We advise booking in advance as we're typically fully booked up to 8 weeks ahead, and appointments are limited. I have a disability?We strive to accommodate all individuals. Please note that while our location is accessible without stairs, our doorways are narrow. Additionally, our treatments may require you to lie still and be conscious during the session, either on your back or front depending on the treatment. Please inform us in advance if you have mobility disabilities, as our massage table and headspa bed require you to lift and position your own body.

What should I bring / wear?Please wear comfortable clothing to your appointment. We offer cozy slippers and nightgowns for all treatments. For packages including massages, you'll be requested to remove all clothing except for underwear bottoms. If you're uncomfortable with this, please inform your therapist. During headspa treatments, we provide sarong towels as your top may get wet on the headspa bed.

Do you cater for male clients?Yes, we cater to male clients as well. All our treatments are available for both male and female clients, with the exception of the Little Moons package, which is specifically designed for expectant or postpartum mothers.

Do you have male and female therapists?Yes, at Mooni Headspa, we recognise the importance of catering to our clients' preferences regarding the gender of their massage therapist. We offer both female and male therapists to accommodate individual preferences. When scheduling your appointment, please indicate your preference for the therapist's gender. Additionally, if you have specific religious beliefs that influence your choice of therapist, please ensure you are booking with the appropriate gender. It's essential to note that once booked, the gender of your therapist cannot be changed. If you're uncertain about the gender of your therapist or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us before booking to avoid any misunderstandings. Our priority is to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our clients.

Can I bring my child?We kindly ask that children under the age of 16 do not accompany you to the Headspa, whether they are receiving treatment or not. This is primarily for safety reasons, as our equipment and treatment procedures are not suitable for younger individuals. Additionally, our therapists are fully occupied during treatments and cannot be responsible for supervising children. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for all our clients.

Can I pay cash?To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% of your treatment value must be made online through our secure booking system. The remaining 50% is payable after your treatment, and we accept both card and cash for the remaining balance.

Do you only have a spa in Warrington?Currently we only have 1 spa - we are based in Warrington, Cheshire

What is the environment inside look like?We have tried to make a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere with a selection of scents and dim lighting.

Is there parking available?No we do not offer parking, however we are near a housing estate and Sainsburys is a 2 minute walk away - parking is at you own risk and Mooni Headspa will not take responsibility. I am pregnant - can I still have treatment?Our 'Little Moons' Package is tailored for expectant or postpartum mothers. It's important that you're comfortable lying fully on your back during the treatment. If you have any other health conditions, please obtain approval from your GP before proceeding with the treatment. Please note that we are unable to accommodate pregnant women who are beyond 28 weeks along due to the position required during the session. Additionally, for the safety of both mother and baby, we do not offer full body massages during pregnancy to minimize any potential risks.
