MASSAGES

The practice of kneading or manipulating a person’s muscles and other soft-tissue in order to improve their wellbeing or health. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

DEEP - TISSUE

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage technique which uses deep pressure. Combining slow strokes and notable finger pressure, the purpose is to release the tension and tightness held deeply in your muscles and your connective tissues. A deep tissue massage will typically focus on your primary areas of discomfort.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a type of therapy that uses gentle pressure on specific points along your feet (and possibly on your hands or ears as well) to help you feel better. The way reflexology connects spots on the outside of your body to the inside is a bit like acupuncture and acupressure. But those therapies use points all over your body, not just on your feet, hands, and ears.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian Head Massage is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years.

It is a deeply relaxing holistic treatment that uses acupressure massage to release stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. It aims to rebalance your body’s energies. It may help relieve anxiety and insomnia.

AROMATHERAPY

Aromatherapy massage combines the power of essential oils with massage therapy, benefitting both the mind and the body. During an aromatherapy massage, fragrant essential oils are applied to the skin using a carrier oil such as jojoba, sweet almond or grapeseed.

SWEDISH FULL BODY

Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage treatment that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health - creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system. Unlike deep tissue massage, Swedish massage therapy uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation.

SPORTS MASSAGE

A sports massage is used as part of a warm up for the muscles prior to exercise. A sports massage focuses on enhancing circulation, increasing tissue elasticity and reducing muscle tension. Sports massage is also used to help relieve tight muscles.
